Ozwald Boateng OBE

Fashion Designer

Savile Row designer Ozwald Boateng’s distinguished career is defined by three decades of pivotal milestones and has established him as one of the most recognisable names in the fashion industry.

A move onto Savile Row followed, with Ozwald opening his first headquarters in 2002. He was appointed Creative Director at the French fashion house Givenchy in 2003, and in 2006 he received an OBE for services to the clothing industry.

Ozwald’s reputation for classic British tailoring with a contemporary twist and hint of colour from his

Ghanaian heritage has twice earned him the award of Best Menswear Designer at Les Trophées de la Mode in Paris, and the British Fashion Awards.

His clientele boasts a long list of Hollywood A-listers including Will Smith, Jamie Foxx and the casts of The Matrix and Marvel Black Panther movies.

Ozwald is also Co-Founder of the Made in Africa Foundation, which supports infrastructure projects to help African enterprises reach capital markets.

After a 12-year hiatus, 2022 marked Ozwald’s return to London Fashion Week, with a homecoming star studded show that celebrated Black culture.

Ozwald’s latest collection includes the new British Airways crew uniform, created to celebrate the airline’s centenary year.
